WICKED is the newest hot release from author Sasha
White. Karl Dawson is a bad boy turned divorce lawyer.
Growing up he was always on the wrong side of the law,
covered in tattoos, etc, until his parents and their
idyllic love is killed in an accident. Wanting to make
more of himself, Karl turns his life around and gets
himself through law school. That doesn’t mean he has
completely gotten rid of the bad boy inner self, he has
just learned to hide it better. Though he has the model
of his parents marriage, everything he sees in his life
as a divorce lawyer has turned him cynical to love and
the “happily ever after”. Then Lara Fox walks into his
office.
Lara is the consummate loner. Love ‘em and leave ‘em
having as much fun as she can while she can. She does
not think she forms relationships, but this is disproved
over and over again in this book. To start, both Karl
and Lara are just looking for sex. Good sex. Hot sex.
Kinky sex. Lara’s attitude that she would try anything
once, and Karl’s buried (from the public) dominant side
really heat up this book, but can either go deeper than
casual sex?
I’ve seen a maturity to the books which I have read by
Ms. White. Lara and Karl are rich, three dimensional
characters with feelings, concerns and desires. Karl is
very realistic in his view of his sexual preferences.
D/s relationships can come in many flavors, and in
books, many times they can digress into caricatures.
WICKED does not do that, and while it takes the sexual
fantasy fairly seriously, it does so in a realistic and
interesting way. I devoured this book in one sitting and
enjoyed every minute of reading it.
