Kenneth MacKenzie is honored to
be the new Keeper of Cuidrach. As a bastard child of a titled
nobleman, Kenneth never expected to be welcomed into the MacKenzie
clan nor to be honored as he has been. Now he plans to rebuild
Cuidrach and live a life of peace and quiet. He and his men arrive
at his new stronghold only to find two women in residence. Now he
finds himself struggling with feelings he did not want but can’t
seem to ignore.
Mariota Macnicol with the help
of her friend, Nessa, fled Hugh the Bastard’s men when she
was framed for murder. Believing they where safe they took refuge
in Cuidrach, neither realizing a new Keeper had been named. With
Cuidrach in a state of disrepair they believed no one would look
for them there. When they heard the men on horseback arrive and
realized they where not just passing through, both where shocked,
but Mariota was even more bothered by the feelings one man
awakened. Now she’s finding she may be in greater danger than
she feared, as this man, Kenneth ignites passions she’d rather
stay buried.
As each of them struggles with
their past, and the feelings being stirred danger lurks closer, as
those Mariota ran from learn of her whereabouts. Will they release
the past to embrace the future? Will they find happiness waiting
or more heartache?
UNTIL THE KNIGHT COMES follows
ONLY FOR A KNIGHT, and can be read as a stand alone novel, however
it is my feeling you’ll appreciate Kenneth more if you’ve read
the previous novel. Ms. Welfonder has once again written an
endearing tale of love set in Medieval Scotland. The characters
are charming with many secondary characters that will have you
smiling and scenes that will have you laughing out loud. UNTIL THE
KNIGHT COMES is a much more emotional tale than Ms. Welfonder’s
previous stories. There is action, but this story focus’s more
on Kenneth and Mariota’s romance and emotions than on the
action. Ms. Welfonder brings to life history, legend and a story
of love that will touch you. Fans
of strong heroes and heroines and a great story of love, will
find Ms. Welfonder’s latest story a prefect fit. This
author has a way of bringing the medieval era in Scotland
alive.
