Marguerite Argeneau is a vampire who has dedicated
her life to raising her children and seeing to their
needs. Now she is finally trying something new. She is
starting a new career as a private investigator. Her
first assignment is to find Christopher Notteʼs mother.
This shouldnʼt be hard to do, but Christopherʼs father
refuses to tell him anything about the woman, so all
Marguerite has to go on is a date of birth and the
country of England. After running into numerous dead
ends, Marguerite decides to go back to basics and speak
with Christopher again, unfortunately, she becomes the
target of an assassin. When Christopher and his family
arrive, they find that Marguerite is in danger and for
some reason, Christopherʼs father plans to keep her at
his side.
Julius only wants to protect Marguerite, simply because
she is his lifemate. Marguerite has a past with a man
who controlled her every move, so the last thing she
wants is involvement with another man. She suspects that
something is up with Julius, she doesnʼt want to accept
it though. Julius has waited 500 years to finally get
the chance to be with Marguerite, but thatʼs a long time
to be without a woman. He fears he will have to go slow
in order to prevent frightening Marguerite away. He will
also have to protect her from further assassination
attempts and try to figure out why her investigation has
prompted such negative attention.
VAMPIRE, INTERRUPTED is the 9th book in the Argeneau
series. Even though there are many books in the series,
the reader can pick up any in the series and have no
problem catching up. Ms. Sandsʼ series' is attention
grabbing and fun. The only problem is that once you read
one, you will definitely have to read the others.
