Romantic Suspense
Paramedic Kirke Palmer never breaks the rules, so
when she agrees to hold onto an envelope and deliver it
into the hands of its recipient, she blames this
rule-breaking on the situation. After all, how can she
ignore the request of a dying man? And no one will know.
Unfortunately for Kirke, the man who died was murdered
and the passing envelope was observed by more than one
person. Now, the race is on to discover what the dead
man said to Kirke and what the envelope contains. Kirke
has little choice but to place her trust, and possibly
her life, into the hands of Jake Kelly. Jake has a
sketchy past, but appears honorable, perhaps that is the
result of being blinded by attraction.
With intrigue around every corner, Kirke and Jake must
elude their shadowy nemesis and discover the meaning
behind the envelopes contents, before it is too late.
Such a great story! Kirke is a fabulous character who is
both quirky, and intelligent. Her quick wit makes for an
exciting read. Jake is a perfect hero, albeit a
misunderstood and abused one. His strength is satisfying
to a reader. The plot is full of twists, suspense and
murder wonderfully intermingled with a potent love
story. Potter’s writing is worth reading again and
again.
