Historical Romance
Rebecca thought she never see the light of day or
night inside of a saloon. Like the saying goes, “never
say never.” Left penniless at the hands of Benjamin
Colfax, Rebecca must take drastic steps to ensure her
future. Slater Forrester, a man fighting demons of his
own dismisses Rebecca as just another “working girl.”
Rebecca begins work as Glory Bowen and without knowing
it, wins over not just the raucous patrons of the
Scarlet Garter including Slater. Andrew Kearney is the
no-nonsense owner of the Scarlet Garter and when he is
brutally murdered, Slater vows to find and bring the
culprits to justice. For Glory and Slater, love is not
easy and the thought of being burned twice poses a big
obstacle for the two, but when the cards are laid on the
table lady luck has way of coming out on top.
A REASON TO SIN is definitely one to add to your
ever-growing pile of books to be read. I was pleasantly
surprised with this story and how well the secondary
characters added more depth to the main storyline. This
author does a good job of penning a story where
decisions are the key to survival.
