Historical Romance
Gisela Anne Balewyne flees her husband, Ryle, with
her son, Ewan, after a particularly savage attack. She
is determined to find freedom for both her and her son
at all cost. Hiding in Clovebury, until she can get
further from her husband, Gisela knows both their lives
are still in danger. Gisela isn’t sure who she can
trust, if she can trust anyone.
Dominic de Terre arrives in Clovebury undercover, there
to find stolen silk. He never expects to see Gisela, his
Gisela. However once he finds her, he’s determined to
learn all her secrets and why she is so afraid.
Gisela has mixed feelings about Dominic, while she still
loves him, she knows the secrets she’s keeping from him
will end any chance they may have had once upon a time.
However all that doesn’t matter when Dominic’s life is
in danger. Gisela finds she must put her freedom and
safety aside in order to help Dominic.
Will they find the secrets Gisela holds too powerful for
their love to survive? Will the danger Gisela fears cost
more than she ever expected? Can a knight finally
receive his reward?
A KNIGHT’S REWARD is an excellent romance. Set during
the 12th century fans of this era will find characters
and a story they can’t let go of. The action, passion,
danger, and romance Ms. Kean has written within these
pages will pull at your heart strings and keep you
quickly turning pages. Fans of Ms. Kean’s will recognize
characters from previous stories; however those new to
her work will not feel lost. A KNIGHT’S REWARD is a
“keeper” you’ll be eager to reread often. For this
reader, I found the hero well worth falling in love
with, and the heroine, Gisela, a realistic, strong, yet
vulnerable woman I enjoyed watching battle her dragon.
The character of Ewan will quickly steal your heart and
have you eager to see him again. A KNIGHT’S REWARD is in
fact a reward for all readers who love historical
romances with great characters and a wonderful
storyline. You are sure to be delighted!
