Historical Romance
Book Two in the Courtship Wars series, TO BED A
BEAUTY, is the fast-paced tale of Roslyn Loring and Drew
Moncrief, the Duke of Arden. Determined to convince a
neighbor to fall in love with her, Roslyn decides that
she must study men with their mistresses in order to
learn how the women convince men to love them. Visiting
good friend and courtesan Fanny at a courtesan’s ball
seems to be a good idea, until Roslyn inadvertently
meets Drew Moncrief. Friend to her sister’s fiancé, Drew
is a notorious rake, and Roslyn is determined to keep
him from learning her true identity. Roslyn escapes with
her identity intact, but when Drew arrives at her home
to attend the wedding, he quickly recognizes the
beautiful woman who escaped his seduction. Unwittingly
interested in Roslyn, Drew cannot deny his growing
attraction to her. When Roslyn confesses her desire to
make a man fall in love, Drew volunteers to show her how
to use her womanly wiles. As they journey down a
sensuous path, Drew—who has never believed in love in
the past—realizes that he has taught the woman he loves
how to capture the love of someone else.
Ms. Jordan has successfully continued the Courtship Wars
series with TO BED A BEAUTY. Readers will immediately be
entertained by the sensual banter between Roslyn and
Drew, and readers will be highly entertained by their
struggle to separate passion and love. Drew’s character
is highly developed, and his fear of love is palpable.
In addition, Roslyn’s own insecurities about marriage
are deeply rooted. Ms. Jordan also effectively sets up
the next novel in the series and leaves readers
impatient to find out what happens to the remaining
unmarried sister. Historical fans will love TO BED A
BEAUTY, and they will not be disappointed!
