Mystery
Aurora 'Roe' Teagarden, newly rich after receiving an
unexpected inheritance, has quit her librarian job in
Lawrenceton, Georgia, and with her mother's help, is
testing the waters of a career in real estate at her
mother's agency. When her mother's unavailable at the
last minute to show one of the best homes in town, Roe's
sent to cover for her until she arrives. Two unexpected
things happen at the showing--thirty year old Roe falls
madly in lust at first sight with the dangerous and
distinguished client, sealing the fate of her tepid and
proper romance with the town's Episcopal priest...and
secondly, she finds the corpse of another real estate
agent naked and propped up in the bed in the master
bedroom. As Roe looks into the death of the murdered
real estate agent with a slutty reputation, another real
estate agent is found murdered in another house up for
sale. Roe's investigation into Lawrenceton's real estate
agents leads her to the killer who will do what it takes
to close the deal on eliminating Roe for good...
THREE BEDROOMS, ONE CORPSE is a superb Southern,
small-town cozy mystery. Charlaine Harris writes
wonderfully with an observant eye on Southern small-town
life. Aurora is a smart, modern heroine, and her romance
with Martin is hot without it being explicitly written.
Harris's voice makes THREE BEDROOMS, ONE CORPSE an
enjoyable reading experience. It's something to
celebrate that Berkley Prime Crime is reprinting six of
the Aurora Teagarden mysteries from Deember 2007 through
February 2009. If you're fan of Charlaine Harris THREE
BEDROOMS, ONE CORPSE is highly recommended!
