For two years, Jason O'Brien has tried to get the redhead, Annabel, out of his mind. She was married and therefore off-limits so he never acted on his immediate attraction to her. Too bad her husband was a cad. How delighted he is when he runs into her again and discovers his company has contracted with her firm to work on a new project. Now that Annabel isn't married any longer, Jason is making his move. However, he has to move slowly and courting Annie turns out to be a test of his patience and control over his emotion, not to mention his physical need to have her. But, Jason knows if he plays his cards right, he can bring to the surface a part of Annie that has been smoldering underneath the beautiful facade she has lived behind her entire life.
Waking Annabel is the best romantica novel I've ever read. It doesn't have gratuitous sex nor lack a solid storyline. Ms. Drewery creates a true relationship and longing for these characters. The reader becomes invested in their story. The characters are multi-dimensional and the sexual tension builds throughout the entire story. The sex scenes are well developed and satisfying. The romantic setting of Biltmore Estate is perfect. A very well crafted, well written story with believable characters and engaging, enticing sex scenes. Well Done!
