The blurb on the cover of this book reads: “diamonds really are a girl’s
best friend”…and how true that holds throughout this well written book.
PINK ICE is the story of four different women who in one way or another are
affected by the magic of a pair of beautiful pink diamond earrings.
Three sisters and a thief are all bedazzled by a pair of earrings worn by
the famous singer Lia Dash. When some of her belongings go up for auction,
Sabrina Graham is compelled to bid on them. She can’t afford them on her
own, so the three sisters chip in together and buy them, working out a
schedule where they each get a chance with the earrings for a month, then
pass them along to the next sister.
In PINK CHAMPAGNE, Sabrina wants to explore life and decides that crashing
society parties in her Cinderella transformation is the way to do it.
Unfortunately the head of security, looking for a jewel thief catches her
instead. TOUCH OF PINK, is Linsday’s escape. Hawaii has never looked
more beautiful and her short affair with hottie Dominic is spectacular. It
is only when she gets home and realizes that one of her earrings is missing,
that she needs to figure out who Dominic is and why he only took on of her
earrings. PINK POSSITIVE is the youngest sister, Nicole’s story. Lia Dash
was her idol, and visions of fairy princesses and happily ever after dance
through her head. Too bad Alex has only seen her at her worst. When Alex
sees the pink jewels on her ears, he is torn between duty and loving Nicole.
IN THE PINK is the wrap up story of Mercer the thief and how she stole
Tony’s heart…and a few jewels along the way.
All four stories intertwine beautifully and are enjoyable to read. Due to
the severely limited space an anthology like this has, there are many parts
in these stories where the writing glosses over scenes. Each one of these
stories could have done well as a full length novel, but work just about as
well in this anthology. Good for short bursts of reading, with interesting
characters, good plots, and sizzling scenes, PINK ICE is a great book to sit
back and relax with.
