Lana Hancock was captured and tortured by a group of terrorist in Armenia. She is the sole survivor and is not completely at terms with what happened to her. She tries hard to get past it by focusing on the now and her charity First Light. She is knee deep in fundraising when her efforts are thwarted with the return of Caleb Stone into her life. Eighteen months ago, he was posing as Miles Gentry, a seriously bad dude, to infiltrate a terrorist group. At the time they were torturing Lana, he stood by and let it go on. He did finally rescue her, but not before her friends were dead and she was just about that way. The very last person she wants/needs to see is the man that betrayed her so thoroughly.

Yet, here he is. Caleb has been sent to watch Lana and see if she will give up her secret from those fateful days, months ago. There has been chatter on the lines about Lana and they believe the Swarm is after her again. He tried to get out of this, however, when he sees Lana, he knows he would do anything to keep her safe. He developed deep feelings for her during the days of her recovery and staying away from her is the last thing to do. Her hatred of him makes it a necessity and is the reason he is hesitant about this mission.

In the days that follow, she holds tight to the knowledge that she saw survivors that day and he tries diligently to get her to give up her secret for her own safety. Unfortunately, someone already suspects she knows and is out to end her life. Caleb has his job cut out in protecting this stubborn, beautiful woman and convincing he is the man for her, for always!

Wonderful, wonderful! I was entranced, captivated, and besotted! Caleb and Lana are powerfully written characters that reach deep inside of the reader's heart. His tortured soul and her depth of pain is incredible. Ms. Butcher knows how to write a story that has the reader completely involved and not willing to put the book down. Sexy, funny, action packed! This is an author that is definitely on my Auto-Buy list!!
