As the Hartes, Nina and Nathan try to make a life together in Hollywood. Their main goal is to get Nathan's career off the ground. So Nina decides to work two jobs, the first as a clerk at an exclusive grocery store, the second as a phone sex operator. She does this with her husband's approval, and with the understanding that once he makes it, she will stop working as a phone sex operator. Enter Sam Godwin, Nina being the loving, supportive wife, meets Sam at the grocery store and gives him a DVD and head shot of her husband. Sam promises to review it, but is that because he has an immediate attraction for Nina or because he really sees potential in Nathan?
Nathan is a actor waiting to get that big break, the one will that will make him a star. The minute superstar Katerina McPherson sees Nathans DVD, she decides he is perfect for her next movie. As soon as she gets her pretty claws into him, there is no turning back for Nathan. Believing his own hype and the stars Kat puts into his eyes, he finds he just can't say no to her. Even when Kat does unspeakable things to Nina and their child. Will he turn his back on the woman he once loved, or will he find out the truth before it is too late?
As Nina tries to understand the in and outs of Hollywood's
pecking order, will she see beyond the betrayal? She is lost and feels she has no one she can put her trust in. Can she welcome Nathan back into her life, not only for her sake, but that of their son. Has Nathan really changed or will Sam be able to win the lovely Nina over? There are so many very interesting characters in the book, each one brought something to the story. IMPOSSIBLY TONGUE-TIED is a great read that deals with the Hollywood life style, betrayal, and forgiveness. Josie Brown created a strong character in Nina and I couldn't help but cheer her on. While this is my first book by Josie Brown, it won't be my last.
