Ethan McCabe is a Guardian. Part of his job means
that he must protect humanity from evil, whether a demon
or the nosferatu, a really evil demon. Lately it seems
he is needed more and more as communities of vampires
are disappearing and now he has been assigned to protect
Charlie Newcomb. It seems that she has become the target
of a group of local vampires with affiliations at Legion
Laboratories, a business owned and run by demons.
Charlie's sister, Jane, works for Legion as a research
scientist and the head demon at Legion figures if he
converts Charlie into a vampire, he can secure her
willingness to stay on and continue her job in
researching. The head demon, known as Sammael also
happens to be in love with Jane.
Charlie Newcomb has a history that she is trying hard to
overcome. She is just starting to get her feet under her
when she is attacked by a group of vampires. Saved just
in the nick of time by an unknown hero, she returns home
and finds a little comfort in her next-door neighbor.
What she doesn't realize is that her neighbor just
happens to be a Guardian. When it becomes obvious that
Charlie is in grave danger, he does all that he can to
try and protect her, unfortunately Sammael uses her
weakness, her sister, against her.
