Grace
Madigan’s return to Huntsville, Alabama was a non-event until
the morning she jogged her way into the scene of a brutal
murder.
While having formed a strictly platonic relationship with
her ex-husband and former cop turned PI, Ray Madigan, she was
now forced to rely on him to protect her from a vicious killer.
Grace is suddenly thrust back into the arms of easy going, sexy
Ray and a lifestyle she escaped from six years ago.
Ray
Madigan, while maintaining a friendly relationship with all
three of his ex-wives, was clearly stressed out by his
relationship with ex-wife number one, Grace.
Grace is the woman of his dreams, his soulmate and the
one he loves more than any other. Six years ago without any
explanation, she left him. He has spent the last six years
drifting in and out of relationships trying to replace Grace.
Ray’s theory was he had a perfectly wonderful marriage
with Grace and if marriage worked so great with her it could be
great with someone else.
It didn’t work with anyone else and it took two tries
to prove it, now Grace is back to turn his world more upside
down than it already is. The fact that he was going to have to
be with her twenty four/seven protecting her until a murderer
was caught only added to his pain.
MADIGAN’S
WIFE is a well written book with the elements of a great mystery
and an even greater love story with exciting sex, everything the
romance reader looks for in a good book.
The relationship portrayed in MADIGAN’S WIFE is an
excellent example of what happens when two people that love each
other very much don’t bother to sit down and talk out their
troubles.
It is easy to tell from the very first chapter of the
book that Grace and Ray have a deep bond of
love that got thrown aside through lack of communication.
Linda
Winstead Jones’ ability to layout a murder scene rivals any
seasoned mystery writer and her skillfully developed
relationship between Grace and Ray and his two ex-wives will
make the reader laugh and cry.
This reader was sorry to see the story end, however, Ms
Jones will be taking us back to Huntsville this summer for
another story and hopefully we will get a peek at how Grace and
Ray are doing. |
