Romantic Suspense
After being released from prison, Brandon Carlyle returns home to Ticky Creek, a tiny town in East Texas, hoping to escape the rumors that
ruined his career and life, and a stalker who calls herself "Anticipating". Even before he was jailed for manslaughter, this person
was after him, and it continued through his jail time. Brandon also wants to return to Ticky Creek for his elderly aunt and uncle, both of whom are in
ill health.
His seclusion is rudely interrupted short months later when Aly James falls out of a tree and into his life. She is a reporter who has sought
him out for a story that could change her career's direction. She also proposes that he collaborate with her on an autobiography that will
refute the negative book his own mother just published. Reluctantly, he agrees.
When Aly comes to Anticipating's attention, Brandon moves her into his home. It takes only a few days for them to fall for each other. However,
there are secrets in her past that can destroy their future, if the stalker does not do it first. Even after her identity comes to light,
the danger has only just begun. A race against time ensues to keep a killer from striking again.
This is a book so good that it is hard to review. I want to tell you all about it, but that would ruin it for you. Ms. Sutcliffe captures small
town East Texas perfectly. Suspense and sensuality blend to create an absorbing plot from which you will hate to take even a small break. The
ending is shocking, one you might suspect a piece of, but not the whole truth. This new direction was a definite good decision for a long time
