Annie Solomon's
BLIND CURVE is an action-packed novel
combining elements of mystery and excitement with
emotional upheaval. When former-bad boy turned cop
Danny Sinofsky suddenly loses his vision during a
undercover sting, Danny's world tilts on its axis and
he is forced to recognize that his life will never be
the same again. He is unwilling to accept that he can
longer actively participate as a police detective, and
he believes blindness will cause him to become a
burden and embarrassment to the few family members he has
left. To make matters worse, his mobility instructor,
Martha Crowe, continues to push him to accept his
blindness and learn how to cope.
Martha Crowe, known in high school as "Scare Crowe,"
recognizes Danny from their shared youth. Danny was
one of the few students in her school who did not
torment Martha because of her unattractive looks, but
she does not want Danny to realize how plain she is.
Martha has spent most of her life as a caregiver, both
personally and professionally, and she knows Danny can
still be a happy and productive individual if she can
push him hard enough. Martha and Danny are constantly
at odds, and when she witnesses an attempt on Danny's
life, they are suddenly on the run, forced to work
together to stay alive.
Ms. Solomon's BLIND CURVE is a literary feast for
suspense fans, and the added mixture of romance and
Martha's own low self-image keeps the reader engaged
to the very last pate. BLIND CURVE is another winner
for an author who clearly has a gift and is on the
rise. |
