Award winning singer, Nathan Ward loves his baby daughter, which is why
he's getting married to Monica, a woman he doesn't like, but who is the
baby's mother. He's quite happy after she sends a note telling him she can't
marry him. On top of this, Nathan receives another surprise after
spotting his best friend's sister who is also the woman he once loved at the back
of the church.
Although Daphne Thorne hasn't had any contact with Nathan since they
broke up, she is curious about the woman he intends to marry and makes the
mistake of going to the church. Now Nathan wants to rent her downstairs
apartment but Daphne's not sure this is a good idea. When her business partner
dies and leaves her half of the business to her stepson, Daphne is angry and
upset, but she can buy him out if she comes up with a hundred thousand
dollars. Since she needs the money, Daphne offers Nathan the apartment
for ten thousand dollars a month, and he accepts.
Realizing the rent is not fair, Daphne tries to return it, but Nathan
won't take it. What Daphne doesn't know is that after seeing her again,
Nathan is determined to become a part of her life no matter what. Before too
long, Daphne's feelings for Nathan are revived, and she's not only involved
with him, but growing to love his daughter. As they become closer, Nathan
knows that unless they can settle the past, they'll never have a future
together.
Ms. Savoy's characters come alive in ONCE AND AGAIN. The strength of
their emotions and the conflicts, both inner and outer, captured my
imagination and held me until the very end. Searing passion and the underlying
power of a love that never died gives us a fantastic tale about second chances.
