| The moment Lilly Crawford's
mother-in-law dies, Lilly knows it's time to leave. After
putting up with the mental and physical abuse heaped on her from
her husband, Lilly is now free to get on with her life.
Filing for divorce, Lilly packs her suitcase
and drives away in her old beat up car. Unfortunately, the car
breaks down in Louisiana, leaving Lilly stranded with very
little money and in need of a job. She had no idea what she was
letting herself in for when she offers to help care for Dr. Adam
Wakefield. To her, this job means enough money to save for
college, pay for her divorce and get her car fixed.
Adam constantly questions himself as to why he
refused to give up the keys to his car. If only he had, he would
not be blind and unable to practice medicine. Adam doesn't want
anyone helping him but to keep from hurting his mother anymore,
he agrees to allow Lilly to stay.
Lilly has her work cut out for her, Adam is
not an easy patient and his barking and growling reminds her too
much of her husband. But, Lilly also needs the money and once
she learns how to handle Adam, they become good friends who
depend on each other.
As Lilly and Adam try to repair their
fractured lives, the bond between them begins to grow in love
for one another. But Lilly must confess her past and return to
close out that chapter in her life before she can begin a new
one with Adam.
Two wounded souls, each searching for answers,
brings readers a thought provoking drama filled with an
emotional impact that will bring tears of joy to the heart of
those who enjoy inspiring and uplifting tales of self-discovery
and love.
Ms. Ray's talent reaches new heights in THE
TURNING POINT. Her knack for blending romance with real-life
issues continues in this poignant and tender story. The
secondary characters with problems of their own add just the
right touch to a book that's sure to become a favorite among her
fans. I'm hoping one character will receive his own story and I
look forward to more outstanding stories from the pen of this
talented storyteller who never fails to deliver wonderful
character driven novels full of angst and heartwarming passion.
