As Christmas is approaching the town of Button Gap, Maggie Davis has other things on her mind, like when her friend Nella will return for her three children. Maggie is also a nurse at the clinic and that is where she meets the new and handsome Dr. Grant Hardesty who is From Volunteer Doctors. Grant is a man who is troubled by his past, years ago he stopped having faith in God after the death of his younger brother, Jason.

With the help of her Aunt Ellie, Maggie and the children get ready to celebrate Christmas, but with the children's troubled past, it is hard for them to trust any male adult. When Grant starts spending time with the children and Maggie they learn with God's help to love and trust one another, to help heal all there troubled pasts. The one Christmas present the children hope for is that their mother will return. For Maggie it is that Grant will stay with her and that she can keep the children from being taken to social service and a foster home.

The Doctor's Christmas is a heart-warming story that will have you laughing and crying, and it also deals with the subject of abuse. And how they over come, with faith in God, and strong-will and deal with their feelings and help them heal. As always Ms. Perry stories are wonderful, and this one is no exception. A heartwarming Christmas story readers will all enjoy in a time where we all need A Season of Miracles.
