Brady James, Earl of
Singleton, finds himself bored and in need of an adventure
following the marriage of his two best friends, Bramwell Seaton,
Duke of Selbourne (INDISCREET 10/98) and Kipp Rutland, the
Viscount Willoughby (SOMEONE TO LOVE 4/01).
When he meets a lovely waif, Regina Bliss, who harbors a
mysterious past, Brady just cannot keep his nose out of her
business. Suddenly in
a precarious situation, three men beat and attempt to drown Brady
in the Thames, only unbeknownst to these men, Brady survives and
vows to uncover their identities.
The only woman Brady can
turn to is Regina, as she is the reason for his current dilemma.
Brady fakes his death, with the help of his friends of
course, and returns after his recovery.
With a brand new identity, the vibrant dandy Gawain Caradoc
returns to London with a revamped Regina in tow posing as his
charge. This new ruse
may be more than Brady/Gawain can handle, as he finds himself
falling fast and hard out of his confirmed bachelorhood and into
the arms of the woman who drives him crazy!
THEN COMES MARRIAGE is a
lively, uplifting, highly passionate romance.
The transformation of Brady into Gawain had me in stitches.
Brady’s outfits, mannerisms, and cockiness provide a
brilliant touch of humor to the captivating romance.
Regina’s bold, stubborn persona proved to be a fitting
match to Brady’s very masculine attitudes.
Their clever banter kept me riveted to the story, and with
the help of the stoic butler, Wadsworth, and a cast of wacky
friends of Regina’s, Regina and Brady’s attraction sparked
quickly despite their constant attempts to smother the flames.
I admit that I have read
this book before reading the preceding books, but that never posed
a problem, well except that my TBR pile is now going to get
shuffled around again. <g>
I am anxious to discover how Bram and Sophie and Kipp and
Abby meet and fall in love.
