Sergeant
Burke Gifford, an A-Team paramedic teacher, has come to the home
of the Black Jaguar Squadron to learn from Angel Paredes. Her
skills with bringing back patients who should have died are
legendary; and he wants to use what she knows in his teaching.
He is shocked to see very few men around. It’s as though he’s been dropped into a whole other world.
Sergeant
Angel Paredes does not want some man following her around, but
with the injury to her shoulder she knows she needs the help. So
she agrees to let Sergeant Gifford learn from her. She’s sure
he won’t even want to know the truth. Most North Americans
don’t want to believe in things they can’t see.
When
Burke and Angel meet for the first time, both feel something
powerful, but are determined to fight it. They slowly learn to
deal with each other and a friendship forms. Angel is not sure
how to take Burke and his honest way of talking. Burke is not
sure what to believe when he sees Angel’s Healing Touch in
action. When their lives are in danger can they save each other?
Can they heal each other’s hearts?
HER
HEALING TOUCH is a fast read that anyone who enjoys a touch of
the paranormal with a military background will love. The
heroine is strong and able to take care of herself; the hero is
tough with an open mind. This book is part of Morgan’s Mercenaries: Destiny’s Women
series. Having
never read any of the others I didn’t feel at all lost. Ms.
McKenna has a wonderful way of writing and I plan to read more
of her work. I will
be adding her to my auto-buy list.
