Chief Warrant Officer Cam Anderson has just become the leader of her own Black Jaguar team.  At the request of Major Maya Stevenson and Morgan Trayhern, she is headed to Mexico to train male Apache helicopter pilots in flying drug interdictions.

Knowledge and skill-wise Cam is definitely up to the challenge, but she’s experienced some difficulties in the past due to a decision she made while on a mission.  The results of that decision still haunt her, and she is taking a very cautious attitude towards her first command.  Upon meeting her new troops, she senses immediately that she’s going to have a few problems and right she is.  But, she selects a most able-bodied and supportive executive officer in the form of Gus Morales.

Gus is U.S. Army, the son of an Army Colonel currently serving in Afghanistan.  His mother is a Yaqui Indian from Mexico.  Born in a helicopter halfway between the US and Mexico, Gus wears the badge of dual citizenship, a significant factor that will aid Cam in her quest to train her new troops.

It’s kismet from the moment Cam and Gus meet, but both have emotional baggage that could deter a lasting relationship.  Gus, however, is quick to deal with his resistance, and Cam, when faced with dangerous circumstances that could lead to losing him, does a bit of soul searching herself.

AN HONORABLE WOMAN is the second installment in the Women Of Destiny series. As in all of the Lindsay Mckenna’s romances, the characters of AN HONORABLE WOMAN are strong with boundless depth.  The heroine is attractive, yet brilliant, and the hero is gorgeous, sexy and one in a million.  Cam and Gus are a match made in heaven.  Cam has the skills and talent, and Gus has no problem following her lead.  He’s a man not threatened by taking orders from a woman and his attentiveness to the rules of romance bring a breath of fresh air to the story.

AN HONORABLE WOMAN is a wonderful addition to Ms. Mckenna’s military series.  It’s what we’ve come to expect from this author, a story filled with adventure, intrigue, and quality romance.  AN HONORABLE WOMAN is an absorbing page turner and a definite keeper.
