Historical Romance
Fans of Western Historical romances rejoice, a new western is coming out
this summer and it is an outstanding story!! Jill Marie Landis pens a
superb story of love, loss and memories!
Life for Kate Whittington left a lot to be desired; her prostitute mother
left her on the steps to an orphanage one cold winter's night in Maine.
While leaving Kate was physically the best for the young child, Kate felt
abandoned, betrayed and unloved. Her greatest hope becomes a home, family
and eventually a man who truly loves her. When the orphanage closes down
twenty years later, Kate is back on the street in a town that believes she
is no different from the whore her mother had been, despite the fact that
Kate is a scholar and teacher. A mail order bride advertisement catches
Kate's eye and she does not hesitate to respond.
Reed Benton, Jr. has been employed as a Texas Ranger for years. After his
wife committed suicide and Comanche's stole his three-year-old son, Reed
began his quest to free the Comanche's prisoners. During a raid, Reed is
injured during battle and his son, Daniel, is discovered and is less that
willing to return home with a stranger. Reed returns home to his estranged
father's home where he learns his father has died but not before he learns
his father forged his name on a wedding license.
Reed is now trapped in a sham of a marriage that was consummated during a
feverish night. While he feels pity for Kate, he certainly does not want to
be tied down again. But Kate's tenderness towards his wild son has caught
his eye; will she be able to heal Reed's heart?
Fans of Jill Marie Landis will certainly be pleased with her latest offering. Warm characters, sparkling dialogue and a heartwarming story
line will satisfy all romance readers from the gritty opening to the very
last page that will leave a smile on your face and a tear in your eye! If
this is your first Jill Marie Landis story, enjoy the tender journey she
takes the reader on. SUMMER MOON is a compelling story that will not
disappoint.
