Music has always helped to set the mood for romantic interludes between two people.  In this story it’s no different.  Brynn Halsted is known for capturing her audiences with her dances, and Simeon Storey has a way of making you forget where you are with his musical talents.  About four years ago the two of them shared their talents together for a night that has always meant something to Simeon in his heart and mind, but unfortunately was lost to Brynn, because she doesn’t remember him at all when they meet four years later in a park.  Brynn has no idea that the man that is treating her like ice is the same who helps her to recall the night she was without a pianist.

Simeon knew Brynn was a very talented young lady and had always hoped that one day she would dance to one of his songs.  But after she snubbed him, he thought that she was a diva that was untouchable and had given up on that dream.  Then one day they ran into each other as they both exercised, and he finally gets to give her a taste of her own medicine.  But the feelings that he really had for her were love, and as they get to know each other it’s that love that surfaces.

Brynn has lived a very sheltered and privileged life as a dancer.  Although her life hasn’t been perfect personally, she has enjoyed sharing her gift of dance with the world.  Then one fateful night she loses the one joy of her life, the ability to dance.  A man that she knows from her past crushes her ankle and brings her world tumbling down.  In addition, her mentor shares with her that he is dying and her mother is undergoing treatment for cancer without telling her.  Because Brynn has been in a depressed state of mind, those close to her want to spare her any more grief.  Simeon happens to be the only joyous spot in her life, yet it seems that even his love isn’t enough to give her hope in moving forward with her life.

Simeon has a tough time keeping Brynn focused on the new things she will be able to do in the future.  With her mentor dying, the two of them feel that Brynn would be the perfect person to take over his position in the dance company, but it is only a substitute for what Brynn really wants to do.  On top of that, the man that has ended her dancing career has managed to get released from jail.  She’s sad over her mother’s illness and the thought of losing her mentor, which adds to Simeon’s fear of losing Brynn.

As Simeon and Brynn fight to keep their love alive, they both find an inner strength that keeps them together and allows them to see their dreams fulfilled.  You will enjoy this story filled with romance, sad times, and good old-fashioned love of family giving you the sense that family and friends are all we ever need to make life pleasurable.
