Eve Hamilton is determined to find out who has killed her brother Paul, a student medical researcher for the De Cordova Institute of plant Genetics.  Following the advice of a family friend that she respected as an uncle, she gets involved with Professor Theophilus de Cordova to prove that he is the one responsible for her brother’s death.  Theo, thinking that she is interested in his latest project, allows Eve to share his home for a short stay.  He realizes that his trust has been taken for granted when she takes some important papers from his home.  For Eve falling in love was not a part of her plans with Theo, but neither were lies and deceit.

Theo de Cordova takes great pride in his work and his latest project involves a secret formula that can kill drug crops.  When he first meets Eve he suspects that she is up to no good, until a friend shares with him that she has invited Eve to the social affair.  After the introduction, Theo relaxes and invites Eve to his home for a brief visit.  While he starts having feelings for Eve, she does the unthinkable and steals his formula endangering both of their lives.  As he tries to uncover what the relationship is between Eve’s friend and him, he discovers that even though she deceived him he still has feelings for her.

While Eve is trying to do the right thing, she suddenly realizes that the man she thought of as an uncle has lied to her and set her up.  To make matters worst she has falling in love with Theo, yet she’s not sure who’s telling the truth and what part he played in the death of her brother.  Eve and Theo struggle with their feelings for each other as they are on the run for their lives.  The surprises that are ahead of them cause them to question what lies ahead.

You will enjoy this romantic suspense story that has several twists and turns leaving you wondering what will occur next to Eve and Theo.  And no matter what dangers they’re faced with, their love continues to grow.
