Contemporary Romance

In a glorious bonfire, Rachel Fortier, a Feng Shui decorator, burned all remaining traces of her ex-fiancé.  Then after a showdown with Mr. Perfection himself, she hightails it from Washington D.C. to the Louisiana bayous where she will meet her only remaining family.  However, she arrives and discovers her grandma’s house is really a raised log cabin.  Not exactly the life of luxury she had in mind!

It is the scenery that catches her eye.  Standing on her Granny Gizelle’s property is the most delicious, scintillating male she has ever laid eyes on.  A new man is the last thing Rachel needs in her life, but this one is drawing her in.  She can’t ignore the instant attraction and hopes they will get to know each other much more intimately!

Remy LeDeux’s self-esteem has taken a few blows over the years.  With Rachel, he senses something different, something uncontrollable.  And his great-aunt, Tante Lulu’s, vow that she will see him settle down and marry is about to take on a new urgency.  Tante Lulu sees the look in both of their eyes and is bound and determined to get started on their wedding quilt.  Is this attraction a fluke or are the hot days in Louisiana about to become even hotter?  Does Remy stand a chance when Rachel’s shotgun toting Granny Gizelle hates almost everything about him?

Forget the fan; bring me a bucket of ice!  The cover quotes - “This year’s spiciest and funniest love story.”  That doesn’t even begin to cover TALL, DARK, AND CAJUN.  To put it into perspective, imagine the satisfaction of diving into an eighty-degree pool on a hundred-degree day.  The book leaves that kind of mind-blowing fulfillment.

Packed with scorching romantic trysts, delightful minor characters (Granny Gizelle and Tante Lulu had me in stitches), and a perfect balance of humor and action, I was getting outraged with anything that stood in the way of me devouring the book in one sitting.  This is just too good a book to be missed!

Some readers may remember Remy’s brother Luc from THE LOVE POTION a few years ago.  You will get to find out what Luc and his wife are up to now.

What’s even better?  This is not the only trip readers will be taking to Louisiana.  Sandra Hill will be reuniting readers with more members of the LeDeux family in the near future as Remy’s siblings each get a chance at finding their own true loves!  I, for one, just cannot wait!
