In
a follow up to her last trilogy, “Englishmen In Texas Series”,
Ms. Lorraine Heath once again takes us to Texas.
This one is set years later since we last saw the three
Englishmen.
Harrison
Bainbridge’s – the hero in NEVER LOVE A COWBOY - daughter,
Angela, was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Happening upon a bank robbery, Angela is kidnapped by the
notorious outlaw, Lee Raven.
She tries to tell the outlaw that she isn’t a threat to
his identity, but before she knows it, she is whisked away from
Fortune, Texas and forced to spend her days and nights side by
side with the Mexican villain.
However, Lee learns his mistake when he realizes that the
beautiful Angela could never identify him because she is blind. He vows to return her, especially once he finds out that her
father’s friend is the infamous Texas Ranger, Kit Montgomery.
Angela begins to know more about the mysterious Lee Raven
as the days progress and why he is a wanted man.
Killing a man certainly would make him dangerous, but as
Lee’s tender side touches her, Angela slowly realizes that
there’s more to Lee Raven than meets the eye.
Falling
deeply in love is that last thing these two need, but Angela wants
nothing more than to stay with Lee, no matter what the future
holds. However, the future is closing in fast in the form of Kit and
her own family and the hardest lesson in trust and love is yet to
be learned.
Readers
everywhere will give a sigh of contentment when they read this
romance between a heroine whose perceptions lie deeper than seeing
with her eyes, and an outlaw with a heart of gold.
We again get to see Kit and Ashton, meet their son Spence
and find out what happened to their other son, Damon, many years
ago. I found myself
admiring Angela’s spirit despite her impairment.
The story moved along easily and didn’t get bogged down
with page cluttering details.
The characters remained true to the earlier stories and
opened up doors for future ones.
If you’ve been eagerly awaiting this next book by Heath
as I have, you won’t be disappointed in Angels and Lee’s
story. THE OUTLAW AND
THE LADY is another gem of a romance by the talented Ms. Heath
