Hannah Martinson has goals
and dreams that don’t include a husband, kids and love. Work
is her main focus in life and she plans to keep it that way.
When she’s given the opportunity to enhance her company,
LuxMax’s Daycare center with an unlimited budget, she’s
thrilled and sure this will help her reach her goals. However
the man her boss, Dennis, wants working with her, Linc Adams,
has strong ideas and reasons why he wants nothing to do with
the project. Hannah is shocked by his attitude as well as her
strong reaction to the man, himself.
Linc Adams has reasons for
not wanting any part of this daycare project. He tries to keep his
personal feelings out of things but that may not work. He
also can’t seem to control his feelings for Hannah. As they
struggle with a project given only months for completion, they
must also struggle with this powerful new desire and each
other’s past.
Each has issues they must
deal with, as well expectations for the future that may not
blend very well. Can they find the joys of home in each
other’s arms? Will they be able to move beyond the past to
enjoy a future?
JOYS OF HOME is a story of
finding love when you least expect it and learning what it
means to respect others. Hannah and Linc’s romance starts
off immediately and keeps them and you on edge, guessing how
it will end. The romance and story build and hold the
reader’s interest well. I found Mr. Hamre’s story to be
good but at times felt there was something missing at the
beginning. There are some interesting secondary characters
that would be fun to see again, namely Hannah’s brothers and
Pam. JOYS OF HOME was first published in 2000 by Dreams
Unlimited. It is a contemporary story that will leave many
readers pleased.
