Alex
Kincaid’s worst nightmare seems to have become reality.
She is running on borrowed time to beat a killer at his
or her own game.
When Alex wakes up in her
car, she has no idea where she is or how she got there, and as a
rookie cop this really eats away at her. When she and her partner receive a call to investigate a
possible injured man, Alex’s worst nightmare comes true. The man has been murdered, some of Alex’s jewelry is lying
next to his body, his house is the same house she was parked in
front of that morning, and worse—she cannot remember a thing!
Ms. Girard may be new to
me, but she is moving up to my list of favored authors.
I will not be missing her books in the future.
The passionate, believable characters grabbed me from the
first page and kept my attention riveted to the final word.
This book has it all—a
chilling twist ending, a hint of a blossoming romance in
Alex’s future, truly evil antagonists, and a gripping
storyline. The
mystery is perplexing, and the quest to link past and present
was compelling, wonderfully written and one of the best in this
genre.
Hopefully,
I will be sharing more on Ms. Girard in the future! |
