Contemporary Romance

Though released a few years ago, ROADSIDE RON is still readily available through the online stores and special orders through your local bookseller.  This is not your typical romance, the story has a fast pace and gritty story that will appeal to both men and some women.

Roadside Ron’s marriage of eighteen years ended abruptly, and rather than mope, he chose to leave Chicago and head off for the sunny Californian coast.  He never arrives at his destination, however, when he is asked to stay and help a wise, older man run his auto repair business for a few weeks.  Those weeks turned into years, and Ron has become very happy in this small, dusty town.

Ron’s budding relationship with the daughter of a ranch owner, Billy Jo, leaves him questioning his future because of his growing attraction to a woman he meets online.  Though he knows he is breaking Billy Jo’s heart, Ron heads off to New York to meet this mystery woman and learns a few things about himself in the process.

First off, ROADSIDE RON is packed with very graphic, intense sexual scenes.  Everyone knows that a man’s narrative regarding sex and a woman’s are very different, some readers may not appreciate Mr. Cox’s realistic scenes.  The story itself is a fast paced and detailed view into both a man’s perspective on relationships, which I found fascinating, and also the passion revolving around Roadside Ron’s brand new Harley Davidson.  This latter was a little lost on this reader, everyone has their own niche and motorcycles are just not one of mine.
