Evy Varley was thrilled to be celebrating her marriage to Rogan Chantry, although, she was mortified to hear the rumors about why he would marry a girl like her. She was born out of wedlock and raised in a vicarage but whether it is her love for Rogan or her trust in God she knows she can face anything. She discovers three months after her marriage that she is pregnant. Now she is afraid of what the gossips will say. More than anything, she is afraid that Rogan will not take her with him to Africa if he finds out about her condition. She feels that everything will be fine once they get there and she reveals the truth. Therefore, although she knows its wrong, she does everything she can to keep him from discovering the truth. 

Rogan knows that he will have to return to Africa because of all the correspondence from his brother and uncle. However, that last thing he wants to do is take his wife back with him. He knows there will be more trouble and more than anything he does not want Evy anywhere around. Nonetheless, he finds it hard to tell Evy no when she is so determined to go and be by his side. Things will quickly change for this loving couple when the truth is revealed.

TODAY’S EMBRACE is a wonderful, adventurous, inspirational romance about two young people in love in a dangerous land. Ms. Chaikin has given us a wonderful plot with amazing characters that is sure to keep any reader entertained.
