Inspirational Suspense
All around the world, various people are being singled out for a "Death
Watch"-an ominous notice comes via telegram or email and notifies the
recipient of their impending death in 48 hours. These notices become fact
with supernatural precision, down to the exact second. Nothing appears able
to stop these tragedies from happening; global chaos is inevitable.
In Los Angeles, reporter Sydney St. James teams up with visiting
International news correspondent Hunz Vonner in search of the truth behind
the Death Watches. Their investigation will bring them into contact with a
variety of people including a single mother in the last stages of pregnancy
with her second child and a homeless street preacher (who claims to know the
way to stop the Death Watch). When the truth becomes known, will anyone be
willing to listen? What sacrifices will Sydney and Hunz need to make in
order to stop the terror?
DEATH WATCH is quite a page turner! Likeable, believable characters in
thrilling yet plausible scenarios combine with a timeless message and
deliver an absorbing story many readers will be able to enjoy in one
sitting. The action is consistently fast-paced from beginning to end as one
would expect from a book of this nature. Events are organized into short
chapters which help keep the audience acutely focused. Having so enjoyed
DEATH WATCH, I would not hesitate to pick up any of the authors' other
works. Recommended. |
