| Start out with
a heroine who's been celibate too long, put her at a
bachelorette party in a bar a few days before her wedding, add a
few drinks and some pulsing music, toss in a no-holds-barred
discussion of sexual fantasies, then introduce one sexy bad boy
of a hero, and you have one sizzling stir-fry of a story on your
hands. Nothing is
out of bounds in this fast, fun read.
Lawyer Dulcy Ferris wonders
if her continual state of arousal is normal for a woman about to
be married, and has a sneaking suspicion that her groom-to-be
would be appalled by some of her fantasies.
When she finds herself in an elevator with Quinn Landis,
the hunk she met in the bar, the chemistry between them is so
volatile that she seizes the chance to act out one of her secret
fantasies. After a
night of breathtaking passion, Quinn and Dulcy part.
When Dulcy's fiancé goes missing and she discovers that
Quinn is Brad's best man, the fun is just beginning.
Tori Carrington does a
great job of keeping the story moving while changing the tempo
from chapter to chapter. Dulcy
is a total new millennium heroine, and I couldn't help but laugh
when she compared herself to Ally McBeal.
A STRANGER'S TOUCH is full of passion and humor, but it's
not for the faint of heart.
The lovemaking is imaginative and red-hot, and the four
plugs I'm giving this book are in danger of short-circuiting
from the sparks that fly between Dulcy and Quinn. |
