| I admit after the last entry in
this series, THE GENERAL’S NOTORIOUS WIFE, I was a little
hesitant to start reading this latest story.
I am so glad I didn’t miss THE OUTLAW’S TWIN SISTER,
it is an action packed, heartwarming story that I read in one
sitting.
Julianna Ortiz faces a tough choice; she
must walk away from her twin brother who sits in a Mexican
prison awaiting his execution.
While he and his gang want Julianna to help him escape,
she has her standards and will not commit a crime.
Before long, she meets an infamous gunslinger, DelNorte,
who has just been robbed. She
takes an instant dislike to him, and despite her nephew’s awe,
she orders DelNorte to never show up in her hometown, Lordsburg,
New Mexico.
When DelNorte is wounded and lays
unconscious, Julianna brings him home to nurse him back to
health. This may
not be a smart move on her part, as she begins falling in love
with him for DelNorte may be a dangerous criminal.
When her absentee father returns after twenty years and
then just as suddenly disappears again, Julianna’s world is
about to change, and DelNorte is going to be by her side no
matter what!
THE OUTLAW’S TWIN SISTER definitely won
this reader over from the start.
I quickly fell for DelNorte, the tough, broody gunslinger
with the mysterious past! Reminiscent
of old Zane Grey books, I was swept away with the gentle
storyline, romance and mystery all blended together.
Western fans will not be disappointed with this latest
story in “The Belles of Lordsburg” series. |
