Inspirational Thriller/Romance

When the plane they are taking for a test flight before Jake Stevens buys it from Lynda Barrett crashes as a result of tampering, both are severely injured. In fact, it looks as if Jake might die for a time. However, he recovers, though he is scarred and faces life as a paraplegic.

This is only the first of many attempts on the young woman's life. Fire destroys her home, and next there is a car bomb. Lynda has bested many in the courtroom, which of her defeated foes is stalking her? One known enemy is the ex husband of her current client, a man capable of violence and kidnapping, but is he responsible for all of her troubles?

As the suspense plot plays out, Jake's story is also told, as he struggles to regain his life, and is faced with the invitation to find Christ, someone he has always rejected. Finally, there is Paige's story. Paige is the young mother Lynda has befriended and who has taken refuge with her. Will she and her daughter escape her demented ex husband?

It takes a lot of skill to interweave so many plots well, but it has been done here. Though the emphasis is largely upon the characters, there is still a good bit of suspense to satisfy a mystery fan, and a touch of romance too. Each character undergoes triumphant growth that offers hope to us all that horrifying circumstances can be the chance to be blessed.
