After her best friend and fellow pilot is killed
in a crash that only a miraculous accident prevents her from being
on, Erin finds herself traumatized, unable to overcome a sudden
fear of flying. To make matters worse, the crash investigation
promises to smear her friend's good name by revealing the cause of
the tragedy to be pilot error. Vowing to save his good name, Erin
finds herself head to head against the investigator, Addison.
The attraction between them is instant, but
there are obstacles. Addison's position as investigator is a
conflict of interest to his relationship with Erin, he is burdened
by the memory of his late wife who died in a plane crash, he
causes Erin to be suspended because of her phobia, and his father
in law and boss is pushing them apart.
Also, Erin's airline has been bought by a heartless man who
is making changes that are cruel and potentially dangerous.
Will all these obstacles be overcome so that this couple
can have a happy life, and will Erin's faith in God help her find
her way back to her beloved flying?
Filled
with pain and struggle, this book is difficult to read in light of
recent events. Both
hero and heroine are strong people, loyal to their ideals, who
have to find their way to reconcile their lives to be together.
Secondary characters are well constructed. Though the last in a
series, it does not rely on previous books for background that
would make it impossible to read if you missed the first three.
