Satin Holiday has lived a safe and comfortable life.  She works as a product specialist for a software company, enjoys the time she spends with her family and friends, and is engaged to a man that she has dated for a long time.  Then one day she is offered a job interview in another state and while she’s at the new company she spots a very attractive man that happens to catch her attention.  Something about the stranger stays with her after she returns home and she doubts that she will ever see him again because she thinks he might be a candidate for the same job.

After losing her job due to a merger, she makes some drastic changes in her life.  Satin changes her look by cutting her hair, then decides to move to Atlanta without having a job.  Her family knows she’s lost it when she ends her engagement.  Satin never felt true love for Troy, but found it difficult to tell him.  Their relationship was more for companionship from her point of view, but Troy and everyone else around them thought they were the perfect couple.  But once Satin makes the move, she becomes a new woman and her luck changes affording the opportunity to get the job she had given up on and the chance to meet the mystery man from her past.

As Satin is getting settled in her new home she also is being faced with a decision to sell some prime property that was willed to her by an aunt. Her cousins want sell and can’t understand why she won’t let the land go, after all no one is using it and they can use the money. But Satin just likes the idea of owning her some land and doesn’t know why the developers that want the land are in such a hurry to buy it.

Drake Swanson hasn’t met or seen a woman before that haunts his thoughts, but the lady he spotted a month ago just won’t leave him alone.  He was so set on finding her that he tried to locate her based on her name alone, Satin Holiday.  Of course, he was disappointed when he found out that there were a few S. Holiday’s listed but not his.  But his luck soon changed when his company has the opportunity to make a presentation to Voice Box, a company that he wants to provide marketing services for.  As his team prepares to deliver their presentation, in walks Ms. Holiday.

Although Satin was just as taken with Drake as he was with her, she down plays her feelings, but outside of the working environment they finally get the opportunity to get to know each other.  Shortly after, Satin realizes what was missing from her previous relationship, love, and decides to give a romantic relationship a try.  As they learn to trust each other and it looks like they are heading towards a good relationship, Drake’s ex-fiancé returns for the launch of a new product line.  Satin sees them together and misunderstands what she sees.  Then it’s up to Drake to set the record straight if she will only allow him to do so.  But, it appears that the land that she refuses to sell might cause him to lose her before he can change her mind about him.

This is a wonder love story that starts off with a little history on Satin’s family background.  The emotions that Satin and Drake deal with in this story are easy for you to relate to and the makes you feel like you know the characters.  There’s a little suspense to keep you guessing who is behind wanting the land so bad that they will cause bodily harm to someone to get it.  I think you will really enjoy reading this book.
