Olivia Weston is in a carriage headed for Castle Arlyss, in Pembrokeshire, Wales.  Olivia considers herself ordinary compared to her sisters.  It was not a hardship for Olivia, to accompany her aunt to the castle.  After all, she craved an adventure before settling down.  Arriving at the the castle, there were three things Olivia noticed right away.  One, the Marquess is very attractive, two, he did not want her in his home, and three, she never should have come.  Since she has never been able to resist a mystery, Olivia is determined to put the clues together and help Jason get over his grief, so he can move on with his life.  But will Olivia lose her heart along the way?

Jason Traherne, Marquess of Sheldon has kept to himself, since the death of his wife.  He doesn't need anyone, he keeps his distance except for family during the holidays.  He is not a man who enjoys surprises; he craves order, peace and quiet.  Now Jason finds his home invaded by his step mother and her niece Olivia.  He couldn't understand why Olivia's presence disturbed him.  Her gentleness with his son, and her determination to stand up to him, makes him all the more attracted.  But can Jason risk his heart again, or will her secret destroy both of them?

TEMPTING THE MARQUESS is an outstanding historical romance.  The story revolves around misunderstandings, trust, and of course, romance.  Ms. Lindsey gives us exciting main characters in Olivia and Jason.  The attention to detail, and secondary characters, all added to the story line.  It was Olivia's strong nature, and Jason's determination that won me over.  The Weston women are a force to be reckoned with.  This is a great summer read.
