Jeweler Chase McCord has been living a very quiet and comfortable life since the death of his wife. While he has had the occasional date, he has not looked for a woman to replace the love of his life. Out of the blue he finds himself staring into the face of a very attractive young lady. When she catches him they exchange words that leave him wondering how such a beautiful lady could be so cruel when he offers her a compliment. Little did he know that he would later be meeting this same woman to redecorate a room in his home.
Paula Devine is known for her decorating talents and is always excited when new opportunities come her way. Paula has not had good relationships with men so she reads more into her chance meeting with Chase than she should. When she meets her next client she is shocked to find out that it happens to be the man that she was rude to in an earlier situation. As they both decide to start over, Paula and Chase realizes that there could be something to working together. After this first project is complete they develop a better relationship in both their professional and personal lives. Just when Chase feels comfortable to move things to that last level, Paula’s ex-boyfriend makes an appearance that can shatter both of their dreams of happiness.
Diamonds and love, what woman could ask for more? Paula and Chase have both shied away from love because of past situations, but they learn to overcome the hurt by releasing the hurts of the past. Love is in the air and it’s that love and the spirit of Christmas that makes this story one that you will love. The part I loved most about this story is that Mr. Archer reminds us to be open to second chances.
