Max St. Albans, The Marquess of Rotherstone needs a wife with a good reputation because one scandalous member in the family is enough.  Having just returned to London, his solicitor has provided a list of five possible brides.  It was Miss Daphne Starling, who caught his attention.  Coming to her rescue was something he had to do.  After meeting her Max decides she is the bride for him, but convincing her is another story.  There are certain things that he can't tell her, especially those things that have to do with "The Inferno Club".  How can he expect her to love him when he has never had anyone care about him before; the lies are to protect her and his fellow club brothers.  Will he lose Daphne when his secrets are revealed?

 

MY WICKED MARQUESS  is an exceptional historical romance.  Max and Daphne are strong characters, with the secondary characters bring an interesting mix to the story.  Gaelen Foley is an amazing story teller, she makes you feel like you have just stepped back in time.  Ms Foley brings romance, intrigue, and suspense to a spell - binding novel.  I'm looking forward to the next installment in this series.
