Special Agent Dean Taggert thought if he left the violent crimes unit, he might leave the violence behind and become a better father.  Joining the FBI's Cyber Action Team, he thought they would be tracking internet fraud and other related crimes.  When a video is brought to his attention he doesn't believe the horror he is witnessing.  After some investigating by his team, a tip leads them to a web site called "Satan's Playground", where they create virtual murders.  The Reaper has opened a new club within Satan's Playground.  What he is offering is to watch real people die online.  As the team investigates, the Reaper proves to be very smart and tracking him is not going to be easy.  Can the CAT team solve the internet murders before the Reaper strikes again?  There are many suspects and the clock is ticking!

 

Sheriff Stacey Rhodes works in the small town of Hope Valley, Virginia.  The most she has to deal with is drunks and trouble making teens.  Members of Stacey's family have served as sheriff for 40 years, but she is the first female to hold the office. When the FBI shows up and tells her the killer they are looking for might be in her town, she is shocked.  But Stacey has other problems, one is dealing with a brother who won't help himself, and  a stalker that leaves her a bloody message on her porch.  Stacey finds herself very attracted to agent Taggert, will she have the courage to go after what she wants?

 

FADE TO BLACK is a gripping, action packed, romantic suspense.  Characters are so alive, they jump off the page.  The story is not for the faint hearted, there is murder, mutilation, executions, and the romance is hot between Dean and Stacey.  Ms. Parrish delivers an exceptional crime drama from the first page to the last.
