What do you get when you cross 15 talented authors and erotica tales?  In this case…a well written collection of short stories that are sure to please the most discriminating reader.  The first thing I thought when I received this book for review was: “How good can it be?  15 authors, 550 pages, an average of 37 pages per story, bah, a waste of my time.”  Boy I could not have been more wrong.

On the whole, I do not like anthologies and short stories.  I find that they are unsatisfactory and too short to convey any real plot or emotion. While a few of these stories are weaker than others, all in all, the fifteen stories contained in this compilation are well done, hot, and enjoyable to read.

I do have to say, there was one unusual side effect of reading these stories that I did not anticipate.  While I did enjoy almost each of these individual stories, by the time I was halfway through the book I was getting a bit “bored” with them.  They are all hot, erotica/romantic stories about fulfilling fantasies at some level.  I found it too much to take at one time.  Even though each story WAS different, they all started to blend together.  I think this book is one better savored.  Read a story at a time over a long period of time.  A beach book or something to squeeze in short bursts between longer stories.
