Multicultural- Romantic Suspense

Dr. Katelyn Lyda finds herself running from her life holding on to a manuscript that contains only God knows what. But what she does know is that she has just witnessed her uncle being murdered and that he has asked her to protect the Cinchona. What she never expected to happen was to be followed by Sebastian Caine and encouraged to trust him with her life. Yet that's just what happens as they run through the streets of Bahia from dangerous men and the police. The two have no idea what is really at stake.

Sebastian Caine is a recovery specialist hired by rich people to acquire things of value to them. But as he searches for the man that has his latest assignment in his possession, he finds more than he bargained for. This time Sebastian finds a dying man who has asked him to protect his Kat, another group of dangerous men looking for the same manuscript that he's looking for, and a woman that makes him feel things he shouldn't, especially when he's on a mission. Sebastian never suspected that the manuscript would cause him to be saddled with a woman that tries to outsmart him at every turn. But as he and Kat build a relationship of trust, at least until they solve the puzzle on what the Cinchona contains, his feelings become more than friendly.

If you love suspense and dangerous situations, Ms. Montgomery's latest novel delivers just that. As Sebastian and Kat try to outrun the bad guys and solve the mystery behind the Cinchona, they find something they were never looking for, love. To Kat, Sebastian is a thief out to make money regardless of whom or what may get hurt. And to Sebastian, Kat is a distraction that he could do without. He normally goes in gets what he's after and disappears, but this time love gets in the way. I enjoyed this book and I know you will too.
