Miss Madeline Gascoigne has vowed to take on the responsibility of raising her three younger brothers, Harry, Edmond and Ben. Their father was struck down, months after his wife's death, it was said he lived just long enough for Madeline to reach the age of twenty-one and gain legal status as co-guardian of her brothers. With help from Gervase, Madeline is made aware that Harry, the heir to the family title, might need more responsibility. What she was unsure about, was the predatory look that Gervase is now giving her. Nor does she understand it. But as the festival and the abduction of her brothers throw them together, it's Gervase that Madeline relies on. Everyone around them seems to see the attraction between them. Madeline is the only one who doesn't know that Gervase has indeed found his Countess.

BEYOND SEDUCTION is a fast paced, action packed, historical romance. The lead characters, Gervase and Madeline find they make a very compatible couple. That along with the antics of the secondary characters, make the story line very believable. Stephanie Laurens has another winner on her hands. A few favorites are on hand for an exciting end to the book. I'm anxious to read the next installment of the Bastion Club.
