Del-Rey Delgado, is the alpha leader, of the Coyote Breeds.  He leads a task force of mercenary soldiers that rescue heiresses, assassinate people, and provide security.  Anya was only sixteen, when Del-Rey first met her.  He knew right away she would be his mate, and that he would betray her.  Anya showed strength in coming to the meeting to plead that his team needed to rescue five coyote females.  He lets her know it might take years to set up the rescue.  For six long years he has put her off and now with Anya being twenty-two, the wait is over.  The team is ready to go in, Del-Rey just hopes Anya is strong enough, to survive what he plans to do.

Anya Kobrin couldn't believe the years she spent trusting Del-Rey with all of his broken promises, and his lies, and what he did to her family.  She will never forgive him.  When he makes love to her for the first time, he lays claim to her as his mate.  But without love, it's as if she were a possession, someone with no feelings.  She takes the only option available to her, she goes before the breed council, and asks for a separation from Del-Rey.  Although a separation has never occurred before, it is Del-Rey who accepts the terms.   For eight long months he has comes and goes, now he is determined to stay.  Can she show him how much she has grown?  Will she be able to show him she is ready to take her place beside him?  With danger coming from an unknown source, Del-Rey's only option is to protect her, but will he kill her love for him in the process?

COYOTE'S MATE is intense, and highly sexual.  Lora Leigh takes us on another exciting ride into the world of breeds.  The story and characters just jump out of the pages and we  see some old and new friends.  The story lines for this series just keep getting better and better.  Lora Leigh has become an automatic buy for this reviewer.
