Theda Coles and Hunter Davis were once lovers that believed that they would spend the rest of their lives together. Then Hunter’s family suddenly had to move away and Theda was left alone carrying his child. Hunter wasn’t aware of her condition so Theda made a decision that changed both of their lives. She married another man and agreed to allow him to raise Hunter’s child as his own. One day she lost both of them in an accident and she was once again alone. Then one day Hunter returned with his son from a previous marriage and the feelings she had for him returned faster than she ever though they would.

Hunter returns to his hometown in search of the one woman that he has always loved. He is surprised to find that she is available. Family tragedies forced him to leave her behind, but this time he was determined that Theda would become and remain a part of his life. He had tried to return to her once before but turned around when he realized that she had moved on with her life, married to another man. What he didn’t know was that he had a son that he would never get to meet. Despite that, he was determined that he could build a new life that included Theda and his son from the previous marriage.

Not sure if they could really make it work, Theda decides that they should take it slow. She hasn’t given herself to anyone or thing besides her job in a long time, and Hunter left her once before without an explanation and she wasn’t sure if he was worth the pain again. With Hunter’s gentle pushing and his son’s eagerness to see his father happy she opens her heart once more. But before things get too heated she finds herself fighting for her dream job and her man at the same time. Hunter’s return to her life moves him next door to the one person in town that hates her and his wife’s surprise return to get her husband back seem to be more than she ever bargained for. For Hunter life couldn’t get more complicated as he tries to get rid of his ex-wife and prove his love to Theda.

This book is filled with interesting characters and conflict. Ms. Craft takes her time in allowing the two main characters to find their way back to each other. But with this writing style she uses each character in ways that will keep you interested.
