HEARTS. This new story, TEMPERED DREAMS, rises far beyond my expectations and quickly became my favorite of the two!
We return to the life of Dr. Scott Hensley about twenty years after Tamera and Craig were introduced. Scott is traveling down
the interstate when he spots a single car crash and given his medical background, he stops to offer assistance. Little does he
know that he is about to meet the woman who will change his life!
Katrina Simmons has been in an abusive marriage for ten years. When Katrina’s intoxicated husband slams into a bridge wall causing her to miscarry her baby, Katrina immediately gathers the courage to file for divorce. Free of an unhappy marriage,
Katrina makes the decision to return to school and earn a long-awaited degree. When her ex-husband threatens her life, Katrina turns to the one man she believes she can trust. Before long, she discovers she has fallen in love with Scott but will
she be able to put her faith in God and love again?
While I strongly recommend readers start with TEMPERED HEARTS and continue the series, if you dive straight into TEMPERED DREAMS you will not feel that you have missed any key elements. Scott and Katrina’s characters merge to
create an honest portrait of a believable couple, they show their fears, strengths and weaknesses as they learn to trust in God
and each other to form a fulfilling relationship.
Pamela Thibodeaux has a knack for creating warm, caring people and placing them in fascinating plots that grab your heart from the first page. I can’t wait for the third story (Amber’s turn) in this series. I am sure it will be another superb story!
